House Story4

This post was provided by Heather Braden, one of our missionary partners in la Ceiba.

More Than Just a Roof

During the dedication of the house the leader of the group from Cedar Creek said “We give you this home as a gift asking nothing in return, just like salvation it is a free gift that the Lord give us. “
This house was done in record timing (3 weeks) normally our construction team needs 4 weeks to have the house ready for the team to add the finish details.
We are praying for this family. During these last 4 weeks the Lord has used this “simple” project as a way to plant many seeds in this families life. The mom didn’t work this entire time, she is a night club dancer. Yeferson’s dad worked alongside the team. In the mornings it brought me great joy to see this couple working together.

The week before the team arrived Mely and I went see the progress of the construction. Mely had a chance to talk with Regima Her eyes filled with tears as she said, “This still doesn’t seem real.” I can’t express how much a house through the ministry Total Home changes the family dynamic drastically. It is one heavy weight, stress, and frustration that is lifted.

Please pray for us as we look for ways the Lord will provide avenues to minister to this family. We are praying for a couple in the area that can disciple this couple and continue to share the gospel with them. Pray that Regima will not return to her night job and drugs. Pray that they will take care of this house and that this will reunite them as a family more.
