Use your gifts for God’s Kingdom

issions or Partnerships? Regularly the news portray Latin countries that are in the brink of economic, political, social, cultural, and moral collapse. Now more than ever, Latin American societies need the message of hope and transformation. GCLA builds partnerships with US churches and ministries to strengthen its local churches, and support these churches’ efforts to transform its communities with the Gospel. Missionaries who visit GCLA churches’ project sites, besides developing strong ties to the local leaders, serve in holistic community development projects aimed to restore the quality of life of individuals and their families. Our mission efforts are primarily directed to serve single mothers, the elderly, children and youth at risk.

Since the beginning, God has given us the vision to be part of reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has been glorified through the testimony of hundreds of changed lives. He has used GCLA to bring hope to many communities after terrible disasters like Hurricane Mitch in Honduras in 1998, the deadly mudslides in Venezuela in 2000, and the earthquake in El Salvador in 2001. Now, we are bringing health services to the sick, education to children and leadership training to communities. We have developed projects to help single mothers become self-sufficient and projects to restore the health of hundreds who are malnourished and starving.

And you can be a part of our ministry!

Jesus said “let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father” (Matthew 5:16)

If you partner with GCLA, your church members will have  the opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder with local  committed believers. Apply spiritual gifts and skills to lighten the emotional, physical and spiritual burden of people in underprivileged communities. Are you an accountant? a watercolor painter? a cook? a mechanic? a computer specialist? a nurse? a pastor? Everyone will be put to work, equip, train, serve, in your area of knowledge for greater results and experience. GCLA will arrange your airline tickets, schedule, insurance, ground transportation, translation, housing, even your safe drinking water. Our staff and volunteers will help you focus on showing the love of Christ to those you serve.

Many of our projects are possible because of the dedication of our local churches. Our local churches truly believe that the church is Christ’s bride, and as that bride it must reflect the Father’s love. As a result, the churches are committed to serving their communities and providing for the people’s needs in whatever ways the Lord directs.

When you’re thinking about taking a mission trip, think about this: Even when you leave, the mission isn’t over in the city you’ve served. There is a local church that is dedicated to providing for the spiritual needs as well as the physical needs.

GCLA is just as concerned for people’s spiritual healing as they are for their physical healing. Believing in just providing a house for the body without a house for the soul. We strive to ensure that all of our projects are inspired by the Gospel and that the Gospel is clearly and boldly shared through all our work, in actions and words.

We enable American or English missionaries to come to Latin America and work alongside the local church on a project that best fits the mission team and the needs of the church’s community. GCLA is interested in long-term solutions for people’s long-term problems. While today it’s an empty stomach and tomorrow it’s a broken home, when compared with eternity, it’s really a lost soul without the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Will you partner with us in living out the Great Commission? Jesus commands that we would “GO” and make disciples of all nations. We’re dedicating to bringing the Gospel to the corners of every Latin American country, top every mountain and into every inner-city neighborhood. We can’t do it alone. But we’re convinced that with your partnership and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Lord will continue to reveal himself to the lost in Latin America. Interested in taking a group from your church to Latin America for a mission trip?
